France

Last year, ten FCHS students and three teachers set out to minister to the people of Bourg St. Andeal in the south of France. Their mission trip lasted 18 days and embraced many new experiences and challenging tasks as they worked to present the Gospel.

Two French missionaries opened their home to the team and provided a place for them to stay. The team worked with Etienne and Patricia and the ministry they had already established. The team had the opportunity to encourage local believers and were invited to fellowship with them in their homes. They also renovated an apartment for future missionaries who would be trained by Etienne and Patricia and helped with the church's outreach by folding donated clothes that would be sent to Romania.

Silent dramas were a unique and effective tool the team used to minister. It allowed them to reach people they couldn't talk to who needed to hear of God's love. One performance had a particularly unique impact. A mother with a deaf daughter attended one of the churches where the team put on the "Restoration" skit. After the skit, the girl's mother approached an FCS teacher and told her that this was the first time she'd visited the church. The skit made her daughter feel so welcome that they followed the team to the rest of their venues.
