Welcome to the Stafford Campus of Fredericksburg Christian Schools where we have an Elementary program for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, as well as a Middle School program for students in sixth through eighth grade. We consider it such a privilege to partner with parents to educate students academically, socially, and most importantly spiritually. It's our desire to bring alive God's Word and help our students develop a lifelong Christian worldview.
Our curriculum provides a strong foundation in phonics, reading, math, handwriting, spelling, language, science, and history. Recognizing that "all knowledge begins with God...," biblical truths are emphasized throughout our curriculum, and Bible instruction and prayer time is an important part of each day. Concepts taught in the classroom come alive through field trips to locations such as Kenmore, Mount Vernon, Friends of the Rappahannock, and the fire station, as well as hands-on activities such as Colonial Day, Little House Day, and Civil War Day. Beginning in first grade, all of our students take part in the ACSI Spelling Bee. Our fourth through eighth graders are encouraged to participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee as well. In addition, our third through eighth graders are invited to participate in the Science Fair and also can flex their intellectual muscles through the Math Olympics. Our fourth through eighth graders also participate in the ACSI Creative Writing Festival and the National Geographic Bee each year.
We believe that the Middle School years are a wonderful time for students to grow more deeply in love with our Savior and claim Him in their own lives. In addition to a strong academic
program, we offer fine arts, including band, and choir. Students learn through class work, projects, presentations, field trips and serving others. Students are eligible to tryout for Middle School sports which include, volleyball, soccer, basketball, and cheerleading which take place at our Fredericksburg Middle School Campus. Our highly-qualified teachers love the Lord and our students as they teach them from text books and world events from a Christian worldview perspective.
Our academic program is complemented by physical education, music, library, art, and computer. These special classes reinforce concepts taught in the classroom and provide students with an opportunity to develop other skills. Computer projects are made available to parents online at the end of each quarter, and our hallways become an art gallery during our Fine Arts Festival each spring. After school activities include keyboard lessons (offered by the Stafford School of Music) and Spanish Club.
