We have 3 campuses located throughout the greater Fredericksburg area:  the Fredericksburg Upper School (7th - 12th grade); the Fredericksburg Lower School (PreK-3 - 6th grade); and the Stafford Campus (PreK-3 - 8th grade). Below you can see a map of the area with the campus locations marked.

Each day has planned scheduled activities based on age-appropriate curriculum for the development of the whole child. We consider your child's spiritual, physical, emotional and social needs by providing a curriculum that incorporates all of these areas of growth. We teach the curriculum using different methods to accommodate the various learning styles. We expose the children to many opportunities to "catch" what is being taught. The morning routine includes attendance, pledge and patriotic song, calendar, weather, Bible time and recess. The program provides opportunities to focus on language development, science and math through learning centers, art, dramatic play and manipulative activities. You will find a general daily schedule on the teacher web pages in the Preschool Campus sections under Academics.

Also, please see the Curriculum Guides for each grade level under Academics. For more detailed information, please speak with the administrator at the campus where the grade level is desired.

Extended Care is offered for the Fredericksburg Lower School (PreK-3 - 6th grade) and the Stafford Campus (PreK-3 - 8th grade) from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please see the tuition charts under Tuition and Financial Assistance in the Admissions section for more details.

Students must be 5 years old by September 30th in order to be enrolled in Kindergarten.

You are welcome to come visit at any time. However, to better accomodate you, please call the office of the campus you are interested in touring so we can set aside a special time to show you around and answer your questions. You may also arrange for you and your child to sit in on a class (lower grades) or to have your child shadow a student (Upper School).

The preschool has a required "uniformed" dress code. We believe the installation of a "uniformed" dress code will help to place emphasis on the character development of the student rather than on external appearance. To do this, we feel that we must encourage cleanliness and dress in accordance with the principles of modesty which is set forth in Scripture. Our dress codes are intended as expressions of those principles. "Uniformed" items may be purchased at most local stores or from the FCS-approved wardrobe items from Land's End. Please see the Downloads section to view the Preschool Dress Code Policy.

The Fredericksburg and Stafford Preschool campuses offer a PreK-3 and a PreK-4 program. Children must also be potty trained before entering school. Please visit the Admissions area for applications and additional forms that will need to be filled out and submitted in order to be enrolled.

We have various means of transporting students to and from our school facilities. We offer bus service to and from North Stafford, the Bowling Green area south of Fredericksburg, the Culpeper-Orange area west of Fredericksburg and the King George area. We also offer bus shuttle service between campuses for parents needing to drop students off at our middle school and high school campuses. Finally, a number of our parents choose to carpool. Our high school students participate in mission programs and reach out to other Christian schools and international communities through mission involvement. We have been to Africa, Argentina, France, Guatemala, Haiti, Peru and Uruguay, and have participated in a local inner-city mission trip in Richmond. In addition, each campus sponsors a child from Africa. International students have attended FCS from China, Denmark, Germany, Guatemala, Japan, Korea, Montenegro, Nigeria, Russia, Serbia, South America, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

The senior high students travel to a designated location as a group for three days at the beginning of the school year. This helps them to get better acquainted and plan class activities for the upcoming year. Groups of high school students also travel to the ACSI Leadership Conference, sports tournaments, college fairs and a variety of other educational trips.

We offer drama activities for students in grades 9th through 12th. They meet for a regular drama class at the high school level. The students do presentations for chapel programs and usually have productions in the spring and fall. In addition, the drama team participates in a one-act competition in Richmond each year.

We offer band, strings and chorus at the high school. Our high school chorale, "Savior's Echo," sings for special chapels and other programs.
