Academics
At FCS we work hard to provide an excellent academic program that challenges students to grow intellectually. At the elementary level the primary academic focus is in reading, language arts and math. We believe that these subject areas provide a solid foundation upon which to build in future years. Students also begin to explore many topics in history and science as well as receive instruction in physical education, technology, library, art and music.
In middle school, students take the core courses of Bible, history, language arts, math and science. Physical education, technology and art are studied by all students for certain periods of the year. Choir, band and orchestra are offered as electives in grades four through eight.
High school students study Bible, English, math, history, science and foreign language daily. Some of the electives available to all students include computer, art, band, orchestra, choir, drama and worship team. Advanced course levels are available for academically-strong students, and several Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses are offered every year.
Bible instruction takes place daily in every grade level at FCS, and every subject area is viewed as an opportunity to develop the students’ biblical worldview. Field trips and other special days and activities enhance the academic program at FCS. We count it an honor and privilege to partner with parents in the education of their precious children.
