Welcome to Fredericksburg Christian Middle School and Upper Elementary Library!

All Scripture is God-breathed, and is useful for teaching, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Come and visit us in our beautiful, newly refurbished library.  With its soft lighting and small cozy environment, it has become a favorite spot in the school to curl up with a good book. Our library houses a collection of approximately 6,000 volumes and has four computer stations for research, Internet access, and catalog search and checkout. Each class comes to the library for a scheduled lesson once a week. Our program's main objecive is to instill in children a true love for reading and a life-long quest for learning.

Our librarian, Mrs. Mayott has tailored each lesson to the grade-level of the student audience through storytelling, sharing picture books, the use of props and puppets, reader's theater, and poetry.  She loves teaching students new and improved ways of finding and assessing information.  Library and research skills are taught to grades 4-8 meeting the Virginia Department of Education Standards of Learning and the AASL National Standards for Literacy

All Fredericksburg Christian School Libraries teach an information skills curriculum accredited by Association of Christian Schools International.  The curriculum meets and exceeds American Association of School Librarians National Literacy Standards and Virginia Department of Education Standards of Learning.
