Math
"Hello, I attend Fredericksburg Christian Middle School. I am in the 8th grade and take Algebra 1/2. Other math classes include 8th grade Algebra I, and 6th grade and 7th grade math. All of our math classes use the Saxon Math curriculum. It provides daily review of concepts we learn throughout the year.
In 8th grade Algebra I, students are learning geometry, fractions, ratios, and quadratic formulas. The 7th and 8th grade Geometric Algebra 1/2 students are being introduced to algebra. They will have learned things such as: exponents, volume, area, perimeter, fractions (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication). The 7th grade math classes are learning about unit-pricing, rates, ratios, percentages, fractions and decimals, area, and volume of rectangles and cylinders. The 6th grade students are learning about fractions and percentages, and they are also studying about decimals and graphs.
In math class, we have a lot of fun as we learn. When we get into the room we trade papers and check our homework. After that we go over the lesson that we are going to do for our homework. Then we go up to the board and do some of our homework. To me Math is the best subject in school!"
