Bible
The Bible class in the sixth grade is very interesting because students not only memorize verses, but learn the books of the Bible with "Walk Through" hand movements and exercises. The "Walk Through" is an overview of Scripture. They also have guest speakers; members of a "Jews for Jesus" congregation led the Passover Feast in which students participated. This helps the students relate to an important feast celebrated by those in the Bible.
The seventh grade will study basic theology, Christology and pneumatology. They also do DQ's(discovery questions) to help them learn to research different topics.
The eighth grade will study the poetic books. They have done DQ's on God's holiness and the Godhood of Jesus.. Recently they did individual reports on the question "How does the music we listen to affect our walk with Jesus?" They were to select a type of music to investigate, and support their views with biblical cross-references. Usually twice a month they have a discussion day when they pick subjects to talk about.
