Q. How long has Fredericksburg Christian been in existance?
A. Our school is in its 26th year.
Q. Where is Fredericksburg Christian High School Located?
A. We are on Route 609 off of Route 17, south of Fredericksburg (located at 9400 Thornton Rolling Road).
Q. What churches are represented at FCHS?
A. We have approximately 190 churches represented in our student body and approximately 30 churches represented in our teaching staff.
Q. Are FCHS teachers certified?
A. Our teachers maintain certification with the Association of Christian Schools International. We are accredited Pre-School through 12th grade with ACSI.
Q. What is the enrollment at Fredericksburg Christian School?
A. Our current enrollment is 325 students, including grades 9th - 12th.
Q. Do you have a sports program?
A. At the high school level, we offer volleyball, tennis, cross country, baseball, softball, golf, swimming, basketball and cheerleading. We are part of the Delaney Athletic Conference, a league which includes military, public, Christian and other private schools. We are proud of our teams and support them as much as possible during their playing seasons.
Q. Does FCS offer any music classes?
A. We offer band, strings and chorus at the high school. Our high school chorale, "Savior's Echo," sings for special chapels and other programs.
Q. What type of drama opportunities exist at FCS?
A. We offer drama activities for students in grades 9 through 12th. They meet for a regular drama class at the high school level. The students do presentations for chapel programs and usually do major productions in the spring and fall.
Q. In what types of retreats do FCS students participate?
A. The senior high students travel to a designated location as a group for three days at the beginning of the school year, to get better acquainted and plan class activities for the up-coming year. Groups of high school students also travel to the ACSI Leadership Conference, sports tournaments, college fairs, and on a variety of other types of educational trips.
Q. Do FCS students participate in mission trips?
A. Our high school students participate in mission programs and reach out to other Christian schools and international communities through mission involvement. We have had three mission trips to Guatemala that worked with a small Christian school in Chimaltenango. The students, along with several staff members, have been able to build classrooms and assist in doing minor repairs to their school. In the summers of' '93, '95, '97, '99 and '01, teams comprised of both students and faculty traveled to France to work with a World Horizons Mission team and help them for a period of 14 days. The past two years has taken us to Richmond, VA for a local, inner city mission trip. We have traveled to Uruguay and Argentina in the spring of '96, '98, and '00. We are excited about being able to reach out to others and involve our students in short-term mission projects. Foreign students have attended our high school program from the countries of Germany, Denmark, Guatemala, Russia, Thailand, Spain, Korea, Taiwan and South America.
Q. Do the students that attend FCHS participate in any competitive activities other than sports?
A. Our school participates in various activities such as spelling bees, Math Olympics, Young Authors' contests, art festivals, public speaking events, and various other activities to stimulate hidden skills in our students. These competitions are held within our school and then the various grade level winners travel to various parts of Virginia to take part in regional competitions with other students of other Christian schools.
Q. Is there transportation available to the various FCS campuses?
A. We have various means of transporting students to and from our school facilities. We offer bus service from Stafford starting in and continuing on to the Garrison-Aquia Harbor area in north Stafford. In addition, bus service is also offered for the Bowling Green area south of Fredericksburg, the Culpeper-Orange area west of Fredericksburg and the King George area. We also offer bus shuttle service between campuses for parents needing to drop students off at our middle school and high school campus. Finally, a number of our parents choose to carpool.

A. The hours of operation for the High School are 8:00 am. - 3:02 p.m. (with 8 class periods each day).
