 FCS STUDENT GOVERNMENT

We, the students of Fredericksburg Christian High School, in order to glorify Christ and reflect His character; to develop democratic ideals; to teach respect for authority, law and order; to maintain high standards of cooperation, loyalty, and school spirit; to prepare for adult life and citizenship; to encourage all worthwhile activities in the school; and to help prepare for their vocational calling, do form this constitution for the Student Government of Fredericksburg Christian High School.


CLASS OFFICERS

The following class officers were elected and will serve during the 2003-04 school year.

To establish as a group, students who will serve Fredericksburg Christian School for the purpose of promoting the spiritual and social development of the student body, to provide and promote quality service activities for the class and to encourage and facilitate positive communication among students, faculty and administration. The soul purpose of these groups and their stated responsibilities is to glorify Christ and reflect His character.

Each class has its own officers and an advisor. The sophomore, junior, and senior class officers are elected at the end of the school year and the freshman officers are elected at the beginning of the school year. The council shall include eight (8) elected representatives; two from each of the four grade levels in the high school. These members will be first elected president and vice president of their grade level. The student must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 for the previous quarter.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible, a student must be able to give a clear testimony of salvation, demonstrate a desire to walk with the Lord and be a spiritual leader. He or she must demonstrate the qualities that are necessary for leadership. Interested students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 for the previous quarter.  Students must also demonstrate a positive attitude toward faculty, students, administration and school policies.
